If this is "old world", then that term has lost all meaning. This wine is dense and big with good integration. The fruit and osk tannins blend seemlessly in the long finish. Chocolate, berries, vinilla and spice undertones. Exactly what you should expect on an expensive califirnia wine... Except it is Washington

If I were rich, I'd have a cellar full.

Total winner. Still tannic minty and earthy with a backbone of big fruit.

72% Cab/19% Merlot/9% Cab Franc. Nice brambly raspberry nose. Bright red fruit palate, dried tobacco leaf that hangs through the finish. Solid value at $50. Still needs a few years.

Assertive plummy/dark fruit with a balancing earthiness & tannic structure. I really enjoy this type of Cabernet/BDX blend. Unpretentious & honest rich fruit with a charmingly gritty edge.

More old world; fruit not as bright, almost dusty. High acid; long finish. Food friendly
