Pear, jasmine, long zesty acidity, rice pudding, developing for 5-10 more easily. Its a dream. — a month ago

One of the best Zins we’ve had in a long time! — 22 days ago
I remember loving this the last time I had it (August ‘19). Still lovely. Not as juicy as previous notes. Still Blackberry, blueberry, and vanilla. Less fruity than I remember but that makes sense. Black olive / almost iodine blew off in an hour replaced by pencil shavings. There is a molasses quality to this I associate with the ‘13 Roy estate and ‘13 Roy Cor Leonis. A ‘13 thing? This wine makes me think of a song by Black Keys - Thickfreakness for some reason. Look it up you’ll thank me. — 2 months ago
Huge fruity nose, totally opaque dark purple, tastes of red fruit - particularly raspberry with a hint of strawberry. Bold but not overwhelming tannins on the finish. Delicious. — 2 months ago
Still great…big Pinot from the Russian River, CA. Full-bodied balanced not overly fruity Pinot with elegance and class…a polished wine. Drank before, drink again - but not cheap… — 3 months ago
When we talk purity and honesty in wine, Larmandier-Bernier instantly comes to mind. An attractive light golden robe and impressive perlage. The nose is instantly striking with plenty of green apple and butter. Lemon and limes along with marzipan. Chalky and fresh, this is one that you really should just sit with for a while and appreciate. The pastry aromas are absolutely killer here. The citrus fruit notes are really prominent over time. So pretty.
A biodynamic Blanc de Blancs from masters of their terroir. Stately and august while remaining approachable. It’s a wine you want to be effusive. Full of personality, charm, and complexity there’s such power and grace with this champagne. Brilliant acidity but there’s no way I would mark this as zero dosage if tasted blind. Laser like precision here. So classy and luxurious.
In the mouth, this is pure joy. Pure finesse and excellence. Terrific texture and balance. Citrus and slight toasted brioche notes. There’s a really nice streak of spice towards the end, especially on the second day. This champagne may not be right for everyone but it’s certainly right for me. I love this. — 2 months ago
