This is a wine that I normally find is best enjoyed in its youth as it’s an absolute sensory experience from all angles.
I popped this thinking it would be roaring out of the gate, but it was actually quite subdued. After 30mins in the decanter, the room almost filled with the aromatics…wave after wave of rich, decadent dark fruits dipped in fondue, with vanilla baking spice, and espresso. While it was fairly bombastic on the palate, it wore the high ABV fairly well…there was a “creaminess” about this wine which was unique. Dark cocoa covered blueberries and blackberries, black currant, and plenty of dark roasted plum. Big structure and tannin, but the finish is “velvet” like.
I’d say this will hang in this window for a few more years before shedding some of the primary fruit, but this seems to be made to enjoy while the fireworks are still bright. — 2 years ago
Loved this. Fruit and tannin immediately, absolutely delicious — 4 months ago
Last of my case of this. Man has this matured over the short year-ish that I've had it. White pepper, subtle cherry, anise, hazelnut. Medium bodied, medium alcohol, medium minus acidity, soft yet chewy tannins. If not for some sharp angles on the finish, I would blind taste this as a Brunello presentation of Sangiovese. This can improve still more with age. Excellent!

Lambert’s high end Chardonnay and wow what a wine in 21. Nose is nutty, mineral, green apple and pear. Ouille style so zero ox. So aromatic and focused. Some wood shavings and a hint of spice. Palate is super focused with tons of angles and green apple skins and some flesh but not much. Juicy and incisive. Really long and just the right amount of flesh. Great energy and high acids. So compact and lean but also has a hint of opulence that keeps you wanting one more sip. Very complex and wow this will wake you up in the morning with its intense acidity and minerality. Let’s see what air does. So clean and astonishingly pure.
With some air this got more fleshy, more acidic and more concentrated with a complex clearly defined saline note. Puligny look alike. — 4 months ago
Regular Txakoli except better. Weightier. Spicier. Herbaceous. The kind you'd responsibly save for a wine glass (vs. Porron). Maybe you let this warm a bit? You could. You should. It's Sprite like - lemon lime zippy and refreshing, with extra stuff - rounded curves, angles, inflections. Like a lemon lime jalapeno margarita, generously salted rim. — a year ago
Très beau 2015 qui entre dans une belle fenêtre de dégustation. Beau fruit rouge très expressif, épices, vif, frais, tout en ayant une belle structure tannique très approchable, sans excès, superbe texture. 92-93
Gorgeous 2015 entering a nice tasting phase, nice red fruit and spices, good acidity and freshness, good structure and nice texture, very good bottle. — 2 years ago

Really bold off the hop, then leans into black cherry and aged cheese. Slightly purple tongue. Consistent throughout the bottle - really great. — 24 days ago
