What a fabulous wine! Wonderful nose - floral, honeysuckle, and obvious hints of a delicious wine. Rich, delta ghtful and highly recommended! — 7 years ago
Riesling from less than one hectare on a hillside overlooking the village of Riquewihr, Andrée Trapet’s hometown. Like all their holdings in the Côte de Nuits, all plots here are farmed biodynamically. Fermented in tank, aged for 10 months in neutral oak barrels and concrete eggs. Elegant, precise nose with citrus, floral and stony notes. Dry, pure, quite refined. Nice tension, subtle minerality — 2 years ago

50 years old. Terrifying degraded cork at the outer surface, but clean after a 1/4 inch and did its job for 5 decades. Expected degree of oxidation. Almonds, marzipan, and baking spice. Medium weight. Good acid. This was a treat, even if the guests of honor liked it more for sentimental reasons. — 3 years ago

This was a pretty subtle cab franc from the Loire Valley — I could have mistaken it for pinot noir. Red fruit, medium acid, low tannin — pretty middle of the road/balanced, as opposed to bell pepper or herbal notes. Good price, would drink again. $42. — a month ago
