100% stem inclusion and foot stomped. A brillant wine perhaps the best he made so far. Spice elements bark tart port wine hint of bitter like in a high end amarone. Stem complexity not fully resolved yet which some folks have a tough time with. Cedar box black tea tons of tannins. Keep for 10 more years! I just had his 15's with the importer they are fantastic! Nose Blackberry. Relative dark. A lot of minerals acidic soft mouthfeel. Stony dusty. Lingonberry. Certainly a lot of minerality. Great wine made by the Obelix of Burgundy. Hard to find only online at Amitie Wines and the Meritage in Encinitas or upscale restaurants. In SF or LA. Tight elegant modest. Great color. — 9 years ago
This really is delicious! Layered and pure.....cherries and spice and mineral....very delicate tannins that are ripe....fantastic wine that will only continue to blossom....nice work to the importer Amitie for getting on board with this producer....really fabulous! — 8 years ago
Very elegant. With Jason the importer at his place. Subdued nose not sure what I am getting faint cherry! Beautiful. Subdued black currant/cherry. I could drink this all night long. Drink now it lasts as well according to Jason. This is awesome. 10 cases imported. Grab a six pack check it out! Amitie Wines Jason the owner is rock solid. — 8 years ago
My favorite producer who makes awesome wines from unsung vineyards in Burgundy. Perfumed nose roses/cranberry juice blend. Much heavier then the Nuits Saint George. Dark berries such as blackberries tannic now but will mellow out. A great wine buy it if you can find it! Online at Amitie wines. Premier Cru level! — 9 years ago
A real beauty hard to resist. Closed right now but cherry shows and the power of the vintage is there. Plenty of tannins. Needs a big glass. Transient touch of mandarine - Rangpur Lime. Black berry but mostly Cherry for now. From Amitie wines online. I am sure this will end up on the Wine List of some Michelin Star Restaurants in SF. — 7 years ago
A real blockbuster from @Jason Berry at Amitie' Wines. Amazing QPR wine that delivers young. Stewed strawberry and that good barnyard bouquet, bright full red fruit, substantial polished mouthfeel. So good and paired perfectly with pho! — 8 years ago
Drink Now! Dark berry and coffee on the nose. In the glass a little bit of refined earth. Dark cherry. Not very acidic. Herbal on the finish - Elderberry? Very elegant and delicate. The opposite of an in your face wine. A beautiful textbook Volnay. From a lesser vineyard but hey Mark Haisma is a magic winemaker. An excellent food wine salmon, duck or coque aux vin. Was sold by Amitie Wines online. But they will not sell the 2013 as the quality was not there. — 9 years ago

No formal notes but this producer imported by Amitie Wines in Carlsbad is my go to Champagne. And always very good. — a year ago
