Can't say I've had a lot of examples of saperavis (one of the few grapes with colored juice),but this was interesting. Reminded me a lot of the North American Norton varietal, this wine was a bit one-dimensional but had a lot of fruit coupled with an earthy, almost musky undertone. Was significantly better when chilled down a few degrees (say, at cellar temp - this had been on the shelf), as well as when paired with food. — 10 years ago
Really interesting wine. Bit more old school and Euro in style. Somewhere between a Sang and a Temp. — 11 years ago

A lovely surprise from a local independent wine shop. Such lovely texture and musky spice with hints of slate. — a year ago
Three clones of neb. Tasted two vintages, both very different. This one very light and pretty but lots of structure. Best Nebbiolo in Australia. — 3 years ago
Blue fruits to the nose, dark cherry. Little herbal note, light tannin with low acidity. Very smooth and easy drinking wine at 13.1abv. This is a RockStar wine from Australia!! — 6 years ago
There are expensive chardys coming from Beechworth, but not all of them
The quality of the fruit is superb, well over the average of the country
Stylistically they use oak, but thanks to the flesh of the wines it is less prominent than what the classic oaked chardys were
In this case we have a little extraction of colour from the skins.
I like it, it has got a wonderful feel in my mouth
Beechworth is not only Giaconda. That's a good news☺️☺️ — 9 years ago

Fabulous barbera - even better after a few hours to breathe — 11 years ago
Clean, same Albariño fruit flavour you would expect on a Spanish wine but not as much salt or waxy notes — 3 years ago
Beautiful summer wine — 6 years ago
Candied liquorice, red fruit and floral aromas, followed by a firm but round palate bringing that red fruit with a bit of tarriness. The tannins and acid are there, but sitting back a touch - this is more about fruit first. An easy going, approachable style that slips down easily, even more so with some hearty food. — 8 years ago
Wow, 14 years old and no sign of ageing! Perfumed yet structured and tight, worth looking out for. — 10 years ago
Delicious mix of Shiraz, Pinot Noir and a dash of Sangiovese. Just so drinkable. — 10 years ago
Great work Jo Marsh. Restrained GT with plenty of spice and punch, great balance with out excessive cloying musk and musty notes. Neat match at home with san choi bao. Bottles are scarce. Catch it if you can. — 11 years ago
