Pepperish taste, went great with filet mignon! — 3 years ago
Iconic Provence producer. Blend of multiple varieties (Grenache 45%, Mourvèdre 30%, Cinsaut 5% and other red and white varieties such as Syrah, Castet, Carignan, Manosquin and Muscat) from old vineyards in Montaiguet, south of Aix en Provence. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in oak. Elegant, complex nose with aromas of dark fruit, cherries and minerals. Hints of mint. Medium to full bodied, smooth tannins. Impressive — 4 years ago

2021 Chateau Simone is from just outside Aix-en-Provence (an area I know well from my cycling adventures). Jean-François Rougier is a 7th generation winemaker running Chateau Simone. This Rosé is a complex blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Syrah, Manosquin, Castet, Carignan, Cab Sauv & Muscat Noir. This is hands down the best pink wine I have ever had. — 3 years ago
Nice Provence rose.
From the label:
COTES DE PROVENCE ROSE
Owned by the Quiot family from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the 200 acre estate lies at the foot of Mont Sainte Victoire near Aix-en-Provence. Its winemaking facilities have been completely renewed over the past 3 years.
This is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre.
Special efforts are made to preserve freshness and fruit by the use of CO2 gas to exclude oxygen during the harvest. This is a fresh rosé with a pretty salmon-pink color, elegant flavors of red berries, mineral notes and a clean finish. Serve this wine lightly chilled. Very nice on its own, it goes well with most dishes, specially sushi, salads, pizza and mild cheeses. — 4 years ago
Fruit forward, tastes of apple and pear, very light pink color, Aix-ellent French rosé. — 5 years ago

Good! Grippy rose! Heftier than your Aix standard - frozen strawberry-tastic, no complaints! — 3 years ago
I love this wine. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s an excellent rose with a dose of sweetness from the addition of unfermented juice. If you’re expecting a Aix en Provence style Rose this is not the wine you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a delicious Rose on a hot Australian afternoon, this is it. — 4 years ago
Yum! Picked this up from a wine shop while staying in Aix — 8 years ago
