This is a great tipple as the weather cools down in the Southern Hemisphere. From Islay with plenty of peat and smokiness. A maritime seaweed note. Some say Laphroaig is even more peaty but for me, the jury is still out on that one. — 9 months ago

One of the most fascinating single malts I’ve ever had. This is not for beginners. It’s oily and industrial in the best way, with notes of grain, honey and oak. I liked it a lot, but it felt incomplete, maybe a little one note. Certainly not an everyday drinker, but it was definitely educational. I’m looking forward to trying some of their alternative barrel offerings. EDIT: This grew on me like Kudzu, baby. I LOVE this whisky. The more I drank the more complex and interesting it became.
