Cuvée Anne Willamette Valley Chardonnay 2020

Had this along with a bunch of other wines at an excellent Abruzzo restaurant in Philly. I typically do not like oaky chards but this was different. Still trying to understand the nose of sweet oak with a flowery element. It had some apple and other fruits notes as well . Overall drank great.

Private Reserve Walter Clore Columbia Valley Red Blend 2013

Had this one on the shelf for a while.
Classic Cali Cab. Big, earthy, sharp tannins that time has maybe softened just a touch..
Once upon a time this was my jam….

La Combe Verte Chardonnay 2019

Really drinking nicely now. Totally different wine than three years ago. All the reduction is gone and the fruit has emerged. Green apple for days. Peaches. Very pretty. Hard to lay down a $35 bottle for 3 years but it really needs it. — 20 days ago

Nose: Deep. Sexy. Almost a cherry liquor.

Palate: dense but elegant. Silky. Delicious. Perfect cherries.

X Novo Vineyard Chardonnay 2021

Delectable Wine
9.7

Spicy and floral, the 2021 Chardonnay X Novo Vineyard blossoms in the glass with a complex, mineral-tinged blend of ginger-spiked apples, lime zests and sage. Luxuriously silky and soothing with medium-weight textures and depths of ripe pit fruits, this excels with tenacity and brisk acids that lift the experience despite the sheer intensity within. A burst of tart citrus saturates the palate, puckering the cheeks and leaving a salty staining as a subtle tannic tug adds perfect punctuation. While powerful and broad, the balance here is spellbinding. (Eric Guido, Vinous, January 2024)
