On the nose, this is cherry and blueberry... On the palate the cherry is concentrated... The blueberry is also there... Savory, fatty... The tanning here is medium and chewy... The bright, fruity finish is just medium but the tannin lingers long... I quite like this tannin effect here. I paired this with crackers and an aged Gouda, but really I think this could have paired with a variety of foods. Decent acidity to hold its own against a variety of foods as long as they're kept simple. — a month ago
The 2021 Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne is a fabulous, explosive wine. Sumptuous dark cherry, ripe plum, mocha, licorice and new leather are all dialed up to the maximum. This racy, deep Barbera is tremendous. For its quality-to-price ratio, the Alba Tre Vigne might be the wine of the year at Vietti. $25.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2024) — a month ago
Brief notes. Showed better than the 2013 vintage we had in December 2021. Quite rich, sweet and fruit driven as well as spicy notes. Tasting more new world in this warm vintage. A good wine without being great. Have the last one in a couple of years ie 2026. — 5 days ago

At Willie’s. Very excellent and well aged CA Cab with that lush floral profile but very balanced. — a month ago
Opened about 4 years too young but still good. Super tannic on the nose but has a smooth mouthfeel and is balanced for a 15%. Decanted for 5 hours. Surprisingly short finish. — a month ago

Yellow lemon curd with airplane white wine attack. Virtually no mid-palate but with food the wine comes alive with herbs and acid. — 10 days ago
