2023 opened Jan 2026. Lots of leather with some lavender high notes on the nose. A jolt of red fruit, cassis and cherries, on the front, balanced by solid Cab tannic structure. A charming wine from a very good producer. Blend of Carignan, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. Concentrated and bitterly herbaceous upon opening. Thyme and sage, cherries, hibiscus, licorice, and orange peel. Whew, a mouthful!
Update: 4 hours later this wine is calm and harmonious.

A lot going on here, and it's good. Smells like cola and chocolate. Tastes like milk chocolate, plums, medjool dates, brown sugar? Dry, tannic, puckery finish, but with lower acidity. Delicious, and a meal into itself.
