Great dessert wine — a month ago
Light, sweet but refreshing wine with a little fizz. Great for summer nights on the lanai. — 2 months ago
Very good expression with the entertaining of lychee and other bright floral perfumes. Lacks the tension between freshness and botrytis of the best vintages — a month ago
Sweet notes, delicious — a month ago
Crafted by Joseph J. Wagner, 4th generation winemaker, with winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Deep Ruby with red berry fruit aromas, tea and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of jammy blackberry and cherry with pronounced sweet vanilla oak, cacao and pepper spice notes. Soft tannins and bright acidity, well balanced, with mineral tones on a long finish ending with toasty spice! Nice! — 2 months ago
I live this! This is my favourite sip and socialise wine. Probably not for pairing with a meal more for dessert as it is lovely and sweet. Pairs nice with I icecream or cheesecake. — 13 days ago
Sweet, but not cloying Sauternes, served after dinner at Gaudy at Magdalen College, England — a month ago
1982 vintage. Above average fill. Cork 98% saturated. Decanted and throwing a mix of chunky and sandy sed. Tasted after 15 minutes. Dark-fruited nose. Still medium body. Any overt fruit is gonzo and this specimen ended up as more muscular than remembered with notable balance. Tannic skeleton definitely in place. Least favorite 1st growth overall but this was a great showing. In a sweet spot currently and likely to hold here without drop off for another 4-5 years. 6.1.24. — 2 months ago
