‘14 aged well! In the autumn of 1989, Jess Jackson acquired the Zellerbach winery and renamed it in honor of his late father, Jess Stonestreet Jackson. From higher elevation vineyards, medium lemon color with stone fruit aromas & floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple and pear, a tad buttery with layered spice, vivid acidity supporting the French oak aging. Medium+ finish ending with citrus mineral character. Very nice, drink now! — 6 days ago
Damn, love this chard. Not what we expected from Sonoma - it’s light, fragrant, and elegant. Saw a review that said ‘lemon confit’ and that nailed it better than my lemon dessert takeaway. I could crush a lot of this.

Yeah. I’m into this. Take some old oak twigs, put it in a blender with squeezed tobacco juice and a blackberry tart, and sip on this like a smoothie for days. Its powerful, rugged and hard, but with a soft side that it doesn’t want you to see. When you can break it, it gives you everything you want with elegance and grace. — a month ago

It’s a big warm hug from someone you love. Not too hard or awkward, one you can be in for a long time. — a month ago
v08. Beautiful. Deep, deep purple color. Fragrant dusty, boot leather nose. Smooth, juicy, black currant and cassis fruit. Dry, chewy, pleasantly astringent finish. Fantastic steak wine. — 4 months ago
Hello. Have we met before??? This is love at first sight, first taste. Incredible complexity and depth with lingering intensity. Near perfect structure and feel. I’m super into the game-y dried meats underlying overtones of blackberry fruit, raspberry jam, and brilliant iris and violet nose. I can almost chew it and I wish I could. — a month ago
Yeah, so, I’m a fan of this one. Some orange and zest. A little campfire, but not smoke taint, more like toasted marshmallow and graham cracker. If it had chocolate itd be a s’more. Caramel instead.
