Sine Qua Non

Stock California Syrah

A couple of wines to celebrate our anniversary.

The nose alone was intoxicating. Dark plush berries abound. Gave it about 3 hours of air. It was ready to go.

Familia Zuccardi

Serie A Salta Torrontés 2015

Very nice surprise! Definitely floral, pears, and oranges on the nose. I think I can even pick out the passion fruit. Smooth and slightly crisp. I’d definitely keep a few bottles in stock. — a month ago

Don Ciccio & Figli

Finocchietto Liqueur

Made it to the Don Ciccio & Figli tasting room today to stock up on amari. This finocchietto has always been one of my favorites. Refined aromas and flavors of candy coated fennel seeds. — 3 days ago

Notes from Mia Klein:
The 2005 vintage gave ample rain in the winter, charging up the soil water profile for a very nice growing season. Temperatures were moderate and consistent from early spring through October. Both the mature, established Cabernet Sauvignon vines and the now five year old Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petite Verdot vines produced some wonderful juice.

Nice!..still have some 02s in the cellar. They were always a great Napa value...14 is their last vintage

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2019

I first had the 2017 vintage of this wine and it had the most impressive green pepper taste. In the 2018 vintage that was less pronounced but I’m happy to say it’s back in the 2019. I think I’m drinking all of my local wine store’s stock independently. Clean, fresh, moderate aftertaste. I’m a fan. — a month ago
