See recent notes for the Stanton and Killeen Grand Muscat. This is the Topaque (cannot call it Tokay any more) made from the Muscadelle grape. Like the Grand Muscat the average blended age is 15 to 20 years. Very similar in flavour profile with the Muscat, the latter probably a bit sweeter with more molasses notes. This Topaque is a tiny bit more bitter with caramel, toffee and a lot of liquid raisin character. Thoroughly delicious. Very good, less acidic than their other reisling option at the time. Zest, citrus, just a touch of sweet. Bought on birthday trip to Stanton, November 2022. — 4 months ago
Sunday lunch with friends - no formal notes. An excellent finish to a meal and a staple in an Australian winter. Notes of fruit cake, not as liquid raisins as the Muscat. Fortified wines from the Rutherglen district in Victoria are one of Australia’s gifts to the world of wine. — 9 months ago

I drank this over several weeks - just a small glass after dinner on cold nights over winter which is now finished thank heavens. One of our colder winters - so much for global warming. The wine needless to say was delicious with notes of raisins and milk chocolate. — 8 months ago

From the Mayacama Mountains to your glass. Smooth and very enjoyable….excellent. Full-bodied long smooth tannins. . Pleasant, chewy ripe red fruit with hints of espresso and leather. Paired well with Italian foods. — 3 months ago
