Nose is lifted and creamy. Lots of vanilla extract and herbs. Gorgeous. Really refined and classy. Palate is racy and elegant with another superb mineral expression and some nice notes of vivid vanilla. Juicy, textured and energetic. Very pure. Terrific. So many killer “simple” wines in 2019. Really killer. Just incredible depth and so perfect for what it is. — 13 days ago
Nose is quite distinctive. Black cherries rubber. Burnt rubber (in a Good way).
Palate is good. Nice fruit. Some vegetal. Like great black cherries. But good juiciness. Well made.
You want this with duck sausages and potatoes. Yup. Would be killer.

Nose is a lovely cherry perfume. Sour cherry. As this opens it gets chambollly. 9.5 nose. Really gorgeous.
Palate is Bright cherry. A hint of green pepper and rubber. Savory. My guess is that this is still young. As this aerates it gets richer and richer.
This could be quite good in 3 years. Good to very good 1er cru burgundy. Which given the price is quite a deal.

Big complex nose with some hints of sponti. Herbs and slate. Very aromatic. Super clean and super pure. Nose needs air but it is all there. Stupendously mineral. Palate is concentrated and complex with great energy and some 18 richness. Seems a bit closed on the backend as well. Showing a tiny bit of heat. Let’s see how this develops with air. — 13 days ago
@delectable Spater-veit goldtropfchen Riesling trocken
Nose is slate. Citrus flower. White flowers. Quite lovely. Scratch that. Fucking beautiful.
Palate is mineral. Citrus. Crunchy. Minerals made from citrus.
Elite levels of typicity. If I could create a mosel trocken from scratch this is what it would be. You can literally smell mosel slate on this. I love this wine.

Not super complex but refreshing. Darker than I expected, in ripeness and on the nose. There’s some blood orange and forest floor and lots of bruised ripe cherries. Slight bit of leather. Blood orange again, vanilla, and pine on the finish. It’s cherry season out there so if everyone wants to keep talking about cherries, go out and follow them throughout the season and cycles of ripeness. There’s some soft but present, fairly fine-grained tannins and a grey stream mineral finish. — a year ago
My first 2020. Nose is peach, slate and mineral. Very elegant. Vanilla extract. A floaty nose. We all float down here. Palate is very mineral and crunchy. Not much fruit. A true mineral bomb. Lovely freshness and acidity. Very finessed wine. Lovely texture. — 13 days ago
Aufgeschraubt und von toller Frische, Frucht und feiner Säure, Rest einen Tag später getrunken, da war leider nix mehr — 5 months ago
Fresh, creamy, almost like a lemongrass lavender candle. Interesting.
Good carbonation. Good sweetness. Good fruit and acidity. Nice and off dry. The kicker that really rounds out a Riesling for me is not just it’s fresh, herb quality, but umami. I think the savoriness in wonderfully working Rieslings is often underrated or overlooked. We’ve got a bit of it here, which rounds out the experience nicely. — a year ago
