Dark fruit, a bright pop at the end but not a fruity pop. Love the acidity and long finish. Wet forest floor. — 10 years ago
@Delectable Wine - This is Storybook’s relatively new “Bottled Poetry” Napa Estate Zinfandel. It’s delicious. Nose is identifiably Zin, with ripe blackberry/black raspberry fruit, supplemented by crushed gravel, a shill of sweet vanilla, and spice. Intense fruit is first on the palate, though the wine is not heavy or jammy at all. Turns leaner and more structured as the palate goes on. Great purity. The fruit profile is different than an elegant Brunello, but in other respects that’s the vibe it gives off. Great Zin. — a year ago
So far I am not super impressed. But we will see how this pairs with my steak at Ruth's Chris. More impressed with the Australian guy at the bar who can speak Spanish to Jose. Who knew? — 9 years ago
A little disappointed given the hype around the 07 vintage. — 8 years ago
