The Balvenie Distillery

DoubleWood Aged 12 Years Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Balvenie Doublewood 12yr - the nose is light with a hint of wood. On the palate you get a bit more power and a full mouth warmth. Finish gives you more of that wood and heat. It’s a good, easy drinker. Won’t go out of my way to get but wouldn’t feel bad if given a dram. — 2 months ago

Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout Beer

Rich, chocolatey, syrupy, light hop bitterness on finish. Much to like; it defines the stout style — 8 months ago

The Glenlivet

The French Oak Reserve 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

A little spicey, not as smooth because of the cognac barrels. Slight fruit, a little bitter on aftertaste. No peat. $85 at target (a bit pricey) might get it if it were in the $50s. — 3 years ago

Aberlour Distillery

16 Years Old Double Cask Matured Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Has a high fruit forward nose, apples, pears, kiwi. Faint, faint, vanilla and oak but still really fruit forward. — 4 months ago
