En Remilly Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Chardonnay 2018

Day 1 PYCM matchstick, wood overdose. Day 2 more fruit, terrific core, but needs more time than the Le Banc. — 8 days ago

Le Ban Saint-Aubin Chardonnay 2018

This smells like a meursault : butter, lemon, hay. That's nice... The palate is very good : very stong acid backbone, very nice lemon note, some buttery notes, a very good width, a good grip, some expanding mid palate and a finish with lemon and butterry touches. Very good — 22 days ago

Day 1 like sucking on a cedar plank. Day two glorious fruit emerged. Fabulous texture. Serious shit. — a month ago

I gave up on his wines years ago after I had a ten year old woody mess of a wine.

He uses too much oak. If I want woody Chardonnay I already live in California.

Le Charmois 1er Cru Saint-Aubin Chardonnay 2015

Charmois, the working man’s Chassagne Montrachet, it is said. Very floral and citrus, butterscotch too. Great QPR. — 9 days ago

Saint-Romain Chardonnay

Chardonnay from different parcels around Saint Romain, a relatively unknown appellation not far from Meursault, but at a fraction of the price. Vinified in tank and oak. Pale golden color. Aromas of pear, vanilla, some oaky notes. Medium to full-bodied. Quite rich and round. Citrus and minerals on the palate. Tasty, nice saline finish — 4 days ago
