Brunello in disguise.
Mostly Sangiovese with as they say a small amount of Pugnitello.
Raised up in med toast barrique and tonneaux. I decanted 3 hrs.
N: Big, warm, Black cherry and Liquorice nose. You can sense the wood but it’s not intrusive. Red flowers/ Geraniums, whiff of vanilla.
P:Cherry bomb, souis bois, dirt,( in the best way) charcoal, pencil lead, nice tannic grip, beautiful acid balance. More black/red flowers. Long finish.
Not as “bright “ as many Chianti, rides the “ darkness” of Brunello, weight in between. — a year ago
Interesting wine. Some sort of semi obscure Tuscan grape sometimes used for blending in Chianti. Very very juicy - maybe too much so. Pretty light, but with great fruit and a surprisingly long finish. Good acid, very little in the way of tannins.
Editing up to 9.0 with a bit more air. Fleshes out in a nice way. — 5 months ago
Earthy and bold. I thought it smelled a bit musty, like a forest floor. Dark red berries. My friend said it smelled like a forest berry pie. Full bodied and not as dry as I expected. Jammy. — 6 months ago
Recommended at Sessions Restaurant. Good! Dry red fruits, savory minerals, leather. Second predominantly collegiality we’ve had in a couple weeks! Will have more. — 2 years ago
Loved this vineyard when we stayed for our honeymoon. Vigorello is still our favorite but this one is a great small batch wine! — 5 years ago
Very soft on the palette, dark fruit, dry finish. — 7 years ago

Delicious holiday style wine. We visited the vineyard today and loved this bottle. Hint of many delicious flavors, dark chocolate and fruits. Purchased a few to bring home! — 3 months ago
