First red wine at Table #3 at Oakton Wine Shops Bucket List Tasting.
Deep garnet red. Lots of earthy and cherry notes on the nose. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Layered palate with dark berries, dark crushed rocks, black pepper, and bell peppers. Solid acidity with a long and lingering finish. Definitely will beef up with some time and a big food wine. Drink till 2029.

A wonderful alto piemonte nebbiolo, poured from magnum. The color is suspiciously dark for nebbiolo. Putting that aside, nice dark cherry led aromatics on the nose. Finish is just a hair muddled at this point, but the tannins are smooth and there is just enough acid to keep it together. Nice wine. — 2 months ago
