I think this is the best yet I have tasted from the winery. The depth, balance, and poise... wow! New world power with old world elegance.
A side note: I was looking up this particular bottle, I just realized that all bottles I have tasted from this winery were actually not made by Pott, as he did not join the winery as wine maker until the early 2010’. And the youngest bottle I’ve tasted from the winery is 09. Makes me wonder who’s behind these wines before Pott, because they are all awesome! — 5 years ago
What a hedonistic wine, and in all the right ways ✨ Fruit is sourced from the Adler Deutsch Vineyard. Incredibly pure, polished, and expressive. A sensual, tantalizing love note laced in blossoming plumes of graphite dust, succulent plums, plump blackberries, juicy blueberries, Christmas spices from Granny’s cabinet, and fresh eucalyptus. This juice is the real deal. — 7 years ago

This one I felt was missing something. I expect something with this label to dominate and compared to what else was there tonight, it was just rather timid. Still had some rather nice black fruits on the nose and on the palate, but thankfully this one wasn't mine. A little flat in the middle. Nice blackberry nose and palate. The finish is a little on the stiff side. I just think this one needs another 2-3 years in the bottle for it to wake back up again. I think it was in a funky place. Very enjoyable and I would definitely not snub this one if it was the only one on the table (quite the opposite, actually). This one tasted with a 2012 Pott Franc, a 2014 Bevan Ontogeny, a 1997 Lokoya Diamond Mtn, and a Barnett 2010 Rattlesnake Hill Cab. Nice wine.....I just think it would be better on another day. — 9 years ago

This is drinking really nicely right now. Much more subtle and less in-your-face than many new-world Viogniers tend to be. Sort of has the body and palate weight of a nice Chardonnay, but the flavors are more in the floral and lime range. Very refreshing yet complex enough to reward some real contemplation. — 8 years ago
