Excellent with a seafood platter of marinated anchovies, shrimp, cuttlefish, octopus carpaccio, oysters, and tuna pate. — 5 months ago
Had with steak. Mineral, smokey. Chalky but in a good way. Smooth. — 6 months ago
Bigger, bolder, richer, still dry but more flavorful Plavac Mali variety. Better if allowed to breathe for a bit, pairs well with cheese and red meat. — 2 months ago
Post dinner bevvie, Croatia marina views. Spicy cherry 🍒, plum, and woodsy 🪵 — 5 months ago
Powerful wine that is a perfect pairing for lamb souvlaki. Cranberry, earth, pepper, and tar in the palette, leather in the nose. An excellent example of Plavac Mali, and the best Plavac I have had. — 8 months ago
This is a Croatian wine (not a German Riesling - the Delectable app has this listed incorrectly). Nice dry wine, full bodied, nice as both an aperitif and with shellfish and grilled fish. — 2 months ago
Pretty smooth! Had in Split after visiting the vineyard. — 6 months ago

100% Plavac Mali, Croatia’s most popular red grape variety and also, recently discovered, an offspring of Zindandel, from vineyards on the Pelješac peninsula on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast. Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels (and another 4 years in bottle in this case). Notes of strawberry and smoke. A hint of cherry cola that I’ve noticed in some Zinfandels. I thought it would be a fruit bomb, but after some airing it was totally balanced. Earthy, savory, pleasant to drink — a month ago
