The fruits in this one are stellar. Amazing medium bodied bottle for the price. Definitely buy again! — 8 days ago
I quite like this wine… the color is exceptional, almost neon! It’s a fresh young wine, the epitome of glou glou. Think Gamay. The 2017 vintage is the shit. — 2 days ago
Nice dry wine. Great with steak, pasta. $13 buy at Sam’s. — 7 days ago
Last time I had a Tensley Colson Syrah was about two years ago and it was the 2016. As a youngster, it was a purple fruit, bombastic, hedonistic monster. Tasting this 2012 with some age to it, I’m somewhat shocked it could channel the profile I experienced…as in, when it shed the baby fat, there is a distinct and rich mid palate here without going flabby.
Some bricking is taking place here as the wine pours a dark red with some fading around the rim. Aromatics of grilled dark plum, black currant, black tea and herbs with sweet cherry jerky. The palate is dense and rich with very little acidity, and an integrated finish with not much tannin. Balsamic drizzled black cherries dominate the palate here along with chewing tobacco leaves and muddled red and black fruits. Followed over two days and it stayed consistent. This isn’t getting any better, so drink up. — 2 days ago
at a peak, beautiful mixture of fruit/tannin. drink now. sorry this was my last bottle! — 4 days ago
Sturdy body for a Pinot Noir but still light flavors of the varietal. Hint of bitterness at the end. Not from any residual tannin. Nice earthy flavors mixing with mineral and citrus overtones. — 2 days ago
Deep, dark fruit and berry flavors; finishes smooth and not too dry. Delicious with Italian food or on its own. Lighter bodied but finishes strong — 20 days ago
