@Dave, interestingly enough, Sacramento lies at the confluence of two rivers — American and Sacramento — in the area north of downtown Sacramento, there are weirs/causeways that handle flood problems (rant: because we Californians allow most of our excess rainfall to flow into the Pacific). Anyway, sturgeon, which is farm-raised around here, is big business in this area, I *believe” it produces more U.S, caviar than any other state. And the thing with farm-raised sturgeon — they are HUGE (50+ pounds) — so the local fish markets occasionally have it, very rich flavors!!

So, NO fly rods were involved, I generally hate fishing!! 🤷🤷

Really nice example of classic Napa Cabernet, deep plush plum, blackberry and blueberry notes with a nice touch of dusty cacao and cedar. Silky tannins, nothing obtrusive on the palate. Just a very nice wine to sip on — a month ago
