Anciennes Vignes Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Ripe fruit. Salty citrus. Quite good. Not your average Sancerre. +1 for Hawaii. — 7 days ago

Susucaru Rosato Dry Rosé Terre Siciliane Nerello Mascalese Moscadella 2019

Still great after some aging! Drank on Waimea beach in Hawaii with Tiva as part of our anniversary vacation. A nose of ripe red fruits and a bold palate of cranberry and raspberry, with a mineral driven undercurrent. Delicious, slightly acidic and worth the wait. — 18 days ago

Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Reliably good Sauvignon Blanc which reminds us of our anniversary dinner at Merriman’s in Hawaii where we had this first. Less mineralogy than other vintages. — 4 months ago

Savoy Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

Wet volcanic rock, burgundy, gasoline, fireworks. Just a flavor explosion; less cherry and acid than the Peay. As good, probably better. I had the ‘13 of the Savoy in Hawaii, and it was also excellent. “Tastes like a quarry” — MRM — 2 days ago

Moscato Azul Napa Valley Paso Robles Dry Muscat Canelli

One of the most unique moscatos I’ve ever tried. Dry of course with lots of tropical flavors. The wine maker here, Heidi Barrett, says it’s Hawaii in a bottle. Can’t really disagree with that. — 2 months ago

This thing just tastes like Hawaii. It’s as if you are chewing on a stick of sugar cane that they use as a stir stick in a drink out there. I tried it in a chilled glass which brings out the sugar cane flavors but I think I prefer it warmer. — 4 months ago
