09' Blankiet Rive Droite Paradise Hill Vineyards. 80% 12% CF 8% Cab. Must decant for a hour or two. Full-throttle Merlot base wine. Loads of blackberries, plums, red licorice, mocha. A bit of wood. The tannins are refined & close to perfect. Tasting this 45 seconds after consuming😍. This is a dynamite bottle of wine. Personally I would leave this alone for the foreseeable future . It's gonna get better! Denis Malbac 2nd vintage. Recommend highly. Get a few and open one now. Try it again in 2/3 years. Obviously there's no rush to drink the 09'. 95+ now- . Edit- Top 5 👃of the year. 2019 possibly 10? I have no idea.?? Without a doubt I would purchase many more!!!

07' Chalk Hill Estate Red. Half Cabernet Sauvignon the rest is a blending of PV, Merlot, Malbac, Carmenere.
Guilty as charged. I read the hype in 2010' and I said to myself I'll try a bottle… well tonight I tried it. Decanted for an hour. Tannins softened up & spices are a little more pronounced. Drinking with length and purpose. Red fruit, chocolate, lingering spices. Nice bottle of wine. 5+ years in it's prime. — 10 years ago
