Muddy ruby color with a brick rim. Aromas of black cherry/currant/plum with hints of wet soil, tar, leather and truffles. Same fruits on the pallet with additional notes of black licorice, dried sage and tobacco. Nice acidity level and the tannins are mellowing out. Medium bodied and very traditional in style. Touch of milk chocolate and menthol on the very long finish. Could age longer but glad we opened this one. Quite the crowd pleaser. Thanks for sharing, Kase and Petey! — 9 months ago
When Abele Bolla opened up Al Gambero Inn in the northern Italian town of Soave over 100 years ago, no one could have guessed that the favorite pastime of winemaking would continue for four generations. Deep Ruby with aromas of jammy berry fruits, spice and oak. On the palate cherry and dried plum with bold spice, floral, cacao and cedar. Structured firm tannins, nicely balanced on long finish ending with fruit, cedar and earthy spice. Just starting to drink well now with room to age. — 3 years ago
Intense! This babe can last at least another 10 years in the cellar — 5 days ago
Beautiful with rich complex fruit. Spicy enough to pair with asian food — 8 months ago
Juicy plum and cherry on nose, dry but much bigger than a provance, some grip on palette. — 2 years ago

Nice easy drinking red. Really lovely nose and texture. — 3 months ago
Softest brunello I’ve tasted. Rich dark figs, brandied cherries, star anise. 20mins to peak in glass. — 3 months ago

This wine will evolve into one of the best Brunello di Montalcino’s, just spin a bit too tight at this moment to show off the exceptional aromatics and structure. Dried red and white rose petals, English breakfast tea, charred plum, Cohiba cigar. — 4 days ago
