Single Vineyard Malagousia 2019

Expressive notes of yellow floral notes, yellow apricot, and peach. Bright acidity with hint of minerality. Similar to Viognier in terms of smell and on the palate without too much malo and no bitterness at the end. — 15 days ago

Avaton 2017

Greek wine evening, wine #6
Big, bold, rich.
Dark brooding fruit, sun dried herbs, a whiff of vanilla and a touch of wood.
Very Roussillon in style.
Juicy acidity and good balance, the tannins a a bit too dry though and the 14.5% alc noticeable.
Very good with a Moussaka but a touch too much stand alone.

Nebbiolo 2011

What I paid for this wine is criminal, in my favor! Well integrated and structured. Drinking well now but can still age for a while. Stewed cranberries, roses, and tobacco. — 4 months ago

Ovilos Sémillon Assyrtiko

Greek wine evening, wine #3
Blind - this is a really good white Bordeaux. 70/30 Assyrtiko/Semillon blend. Grassy, fresh, with a touch of lime and a chalky character. Round & polished on the palate, with great balance & poise. This is elegant & complete. Lacks a a touch of edginess, but this is a really good wine.

Evangelo Viognier Syrah 2018

After a stunning 2017 again a superb showing with the 2018. I’m affraid I didn’t pair it right. Too much flavours in the food which lowered my tasting senses, will certainly revisit this wine in a year or so — a month ago
