Pretty, subtle, but once it opens up, bursting with flavor and mineral notes. — 6 years ago

A lovely wine from within the city limits of Vienna, the second one this month, both were delicate, pretty wines, not powerful in any way, but nuanced and subtle. I'll be seeking these out to try and understand this uber-historical wine region that seems to make such under-stated but delicious wines. — 6 years ago
Minerally awesomeness. Where have you been all my life? — 4 years ago

A very stylish Gemischtersatz made with native yeasts and flavors of fennel and anise seed and lots of vegetal Gruner Veltliner snap. — 7 years ago
I have no idea why rating average is in the 8s on this. The only reason I didn't go higher was a somewhat short finish. So large, natural, supple and above all human. Amazing aromatics: baking spice, Asian spice. Honey, acacia, chamomile, frangipani. An important wine, its beauty transcendent. — 7 years ago

On the weighty side of GV. Abundant, supple fruit with some herbal notes. This comes together with a pineapple character on the finish and just enough acid to balance the fruity power. Very good. — 2 years ago
