Nose of burnt honey, burnt caramel, burnt strawberry. Over ripe plum and peach.
Taste is a bright and clear peach. Like taking a bite of a ripe peach. Then falls into peach creme brulee. Long delicious finish — 4 years ago
It’s nice pleasant wine with floral, bitter almond and citrus aromas. Dry, balanced acidity, alcohol and body. Quiet short length. — 6 years ago

Wow! 2012 vintage opened August 2019. Incredible depth with tons of citrus fruit on the nose and lingering after. Loved this stuff! — 4 years ago
Big and bold, the nose is cigar box and leather. On the palate dark fruit, tobacco, cocoa, leather and oak. Chewy tannic finish with fine acid. — 6 years ago

This outstanding clarete by Jorge Monzón of Dominio del Águila has emerged as the benchmark for the revival of Clarete. Sourced from old vineyards in La Aguilera, it is a blend of approximately 35% Tempranillo, 35% Albillo and other red and white grapes such as Bobal, Bruñal, Garnacha and Pirulés, all co-planted and fermented together. Complex, vibrant, just perfect to spend a hot summer afternoon.

Another hit from Jorge Ordoñez, mild spice from the old vines and a touch of earthyness , subtle cherries and light cocoa...
A really good wine at 15.99 , Ordoñez is just like Dave Phinney, the just don’t associate with bad wineries. — 6 years ago
