Oakwild Ranch

Toboni Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016

Reddish in color with a wide reddish rim and medium plus intensity. Very pretty.

On the nose bing cherries, blueberries, spices, light oak, light red candy, earth and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with bing cherries, raspberries, blueberries, light wood, light earth, spices and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 4 year old Pinot Noir from Sonoma County is drinking very nicely now. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.

Fruit forward and easy drinking with a spicy finish. Fun wine and very tasty now. Alcohol is nicely integrated by now.

Will continue to drink nicely in the next 3 to 5 years.

Good right out of the bottle. I gave it a light chill and had it by the pool. Paired nicely with a Double cream Brie cheese.

100% Pinot Noir grapes from a Single Vineyard. A small production of only 92 cases. Aged in 30% new oak barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2018

This Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley is already drinking very nicely now.

Showing red fruits with light wood, spices, light vegetables, peppercorn and dark chocolates.

Medium bodied with medium acidity. Dry on the palate, nice and easy drinking.

After an hour of airtime, fine grained tannins come out and bring nice structure.

Not my usual style, but I enjoyed it. A nice summer red.

Paired nicely with Brie cheese.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

Rossi Ranch Zinfandel 2003

Zinfandel with Alicante and Grand Noir, according to the bottle. Red fruits giving way to some figs, raisins and blackcurrant. Baking spices. Smooth and delicious. — a day ago

Oakville Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

If anyone who follows me doesn’t have this wine, then I implore you to buy it. @Anthony Biagi = NAPA Legend and a phenomenal, humble winemaker who truly appreciates those who love wine. I’m not even mentioning that from a price point, it’s ridiculous. This is just a great, juicy full-bodied wine. — 16 days ago

My fave Syrah bottling of theirs. What vintage? Getting impatient on a 2015 in my cellar but I’m sure it could use a while longer

@Matt Perlman 2010. My rule of thumb with these is 10 years tends to be a sweet spot. That said, it’s incredibly hard to keep the corks in these. So tasty.

Bedrock Wine Co.

Dolinsek Ranch Heritage Red Blend

Bedrock Dolinsek Ranch Red

Dried blackberries and rich black and pruned plums. Black cherry dusted bituminous. Cedar and wet violets locked in an energetic embrace. Baked strawberry aromas and dried rose petal. Dried lavender emerges from bing cherry and red currant with a blackberry and bitter chocolate entourage. Touches of ginger and chicory on a medium full palate that bursts with Mallow blossom and blueberry. Intermittently tart, tangy, rich and floral, with a medicinal nod in the dried aromatics, that is a welcome and pleasant diversion. There is a black currant leaf note that likely opens to fruit with age, but is still very pleasant in its youth. #bedrockwineco #BedrockDolinsekRanchVineyards #BedrockDolinsekRanchRed #Sonoma #RussianRiver #RussianRiverValley #Russianriverred #SonomaCounty #DolinsekRanch #dryfarmed #LagunaTrenton #redwine #cared #calired

Poor Ranch Quilie's Grenache 2013

Slightly bricking garnet clear as a belle. Nose is less bright red fruit that say a Ballard Canyon suggesting a warmer climate or growing season for this vintage. Hint of tar- a bit of Syrah? This botttle was picked up in a Calistoga grocery store in 2016 so initial storage may not have been ideal. Still a lovely mouth-filling round wine about to serve with a 12-hour brisket and kimchi slaw. — 12 days ago
