Chambave Vallée d'Aoste Fumin Petit Rouge 2019

Excellent and unique! 95% petit rouge and 5% fumin. Reminds me of a burgundy. Very good! — 13 days ago

Drinking really nicely now. Still v floral; wild lilac, roses. More mulberry, dark raspberry notes now. So pretty and balanced — 6 months ago

Valle d'Aosta Mayolet 2016

Mayolet, by itself, is a cousin of fumin: very dark when poured, but very light. The sad part, though, is that there is very little Mayolet. — 6 months ago

Earth, blackberry, blackcurrant, anise, nice acidity, mellow tannins. Fair amount of funk but manageable. Interesting overall — a year ago

Love everything I’ve had from GF. High elevation Italian fire.

La Vrille

Vallée D'Aoste Vuillermin

This is Fumin Junior, with much more acidity. Besides that, there are heavy dark fruit flavors. This is much more explosive with heavy pasta and very spicy meat sauce. Wonderful! — a year ago
