Well balanced, delightful minerality, slightly toasty notes. Floral, fine mousse. — 5 years ago
Chablis? At least that’s what I thought in our blind. Lemons, pears, sea spray, flint, and a touch of walnut on the nose. Good intensity on the palate. Heaps of acidity but it didn’t come off too austere. Has some textural richness. Zingy, mineral finish. Very enjoyable and one to revisit. — 8 months ago
DOYARD - purchased direct from the winery - 1995 vintage disgorged 2007 - 12 years in bottle. Good pop of the bottle. Golden, amber hue. Nose is super complex, butterscotch, herbs (dill, anise), and and huge salinity, with some mandarin orange. Absolutely smacking. Palette is huge. Truly expansive body - acid so balanced. These Carmel and tangerine notes happen. The finish is long and tannic. This is a unicorn bottle. Excellent. — 5 years ago
