Nose: freshly cut flowers. Cherry flowers. Violets. Hand crushed early midseason cherries. Magnificent. As this opens some swirling spice. Terrific amplitude.
Palate: man. What amazingly fresh cherry juice. Utterly delicious. Some spice. So fresh.

Bu sur + de 3 heures, aération en carafe à l’ouverture. Arômes de fruits noirs, cerises, assez végétal. Belle couleur rubis! La carafe lui a fait un grand bien malgré ses 15 ans. Bien que le 1er verre m’a donné une légère incertitude mais le tout c’est replacé rapidment et le vin est tout simplement magnifique!
En bouche, il y a de la matière, belle acidité qui garde la structure du vin. En bouche, la mure, l cerises noires, un peu végétale, boîte à cigare. Tres long en bouche. Wow! — 2 years ago
Nose is buttery and rich with stunning clarity. Lime zest, minerals and some dried soil tones as well. Palate is nervy and tense with tons of saline and green apple. Very juicy and delineated. Really precise stuff. Terrific acids and lovely mineral wash on the finish. Great wine. — 7 months ago
OMG nose. Great terroir cannot be fucked with. It cannot. Black opulent cherries, hint of sweet wood, floral, dark, brooding. This is the EMO vineyard of Pommard. Insane and intense minerality. What mineral lift. Stunning nose. 9.7? 9.8? I don’t know. But it’s up there. Elite. Elite. Concentrated and intense but oh so young. Faboosh complexity and juiciness. Fruit is extraordinary but also needs air to show its true self. Man what a stoney Rugiens. Nose now showing kirsch. But a black kirsch. Energetic and so delineated and what insane fruit and finesse.
