Nose is pretty reduced off the bat. Some lime. Some minerals. But a bit stinky. Will blow off. Does as it gets more airy and mineral. Palate is juicy, super mineral and very incisive. Even a bit young. Super well balanced and pure. Wicked acids. Good depth, texture and concentration. Lovely structure and minerals fan out on the finish. Almost a 9.3. Really good length. If nose gets better it will be a 9.3 — 3 days ago
Dinner with friends, prior notes still apply.
A Burgundy bin end theme for my bottles tonight, all are the last stock of the wines that have given us great pleasure in the prior 12-18mo. They will be missed, but not forgotten, new vintages will come eventually. 🤩 — 10 months ago
Gorgeous nose. Custard, apple skins, spice, minerals, oyster shells, very lean aromas yet also some gras. Terrific palate. Wow this has over-performed. Stunning clarity and purity. Crystalline purity. So balanced and fresh. Just awesome. Age transforms these wines. — 3 months ago
Clear medium gold with leesy stone fruit notes and flinty mineral. Some struck match. Amazingly lush for a Premium Cru Chablis. I thought it was the Meursault we were comparing it with. Lovely texture and balance with peach and nectarine on palate. Excellent wine. — 4 years ago
Oh man this slays today. Nose is minerals, some fat, lime zest, seashells. So good. Salty. Love this richness of Pommier gets in the aroma. Palate is ripe, zesty as all can be, with zowie batman energy but seems initially a bit closed. Like it’s missing it’s finish and mid palate. But the materials are all there and the finish is a thing of beauty. I’ll be back. — 4 months ago
Clean, smooth, fruity, tart citrus fruit to be exact, and very gluggable. — 6 months ago
