80% Merlot & 20% Cabernet Franc.
a nose of espresso, dark fruit, licorice, chocolate and floral notes. Great dark opulent fruits of black & blueberries. Very delicate palate, lush and fresh with beautiful acidity. Superb juice with a great p/q and long life ahead, drinking great already. (15% alc.) — a month ago
Vintage 2005 | 3 hours decant | brown rim, beautiful barnyard nose, spices like clove, Scottish pipe tobacco, even some cherries. Taste is velvety, supple, no need to cellar this wine longer, good acidity, vibrant. Classic Haut Medoc that delivers | paired with Chaams Hoen chicken roulade and green asparagus, and cheddar cheese. — 7 hours ago
The 2012 Clos de Vougeot Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru is fully mature on the nose, slightly earthy with light animal fur aromas. Fine lift. The palate is medium-bodied with a firm structure, impressive transparency and a slightly short, tart finish. But there is a breeziness to this Clos de Vougeot that is very seductive. Tasted at the Southwold Burgundy dinner at Hatched restaurant. (Neal Martin, Vinous, March 2023) — 2 months ago

Deep purple in color. Medium aromas of red fruits raspberry cherry stewed strawberries, dried prune/raisin, blackberries with hints of cloves, vanilla. Medium acidity, medium tannins, medium body. Off dry flavors of the same primary, and secondary aromas but with tertiary taste of vanilla and butter. Medium to long finish, well-balanced. Very good wine. — a day ago
