Cab sav 2018 - smooth, earthy fruit flavours. Really enjoyed it. — 2 years ago
Dark glass-clinging purple. Dark fruit and patent leather on the blousy nose, echoed on the medium full palate. Medium plus acidity and medium plus tannins mark this as an archetypical Washington Syrah, with full, New World fruit buttressed by structure that calls to mind the Northern Rhône. Medium long finish continues the palate. An excellent NW US Syrah that will represent Yakima well on the dinner table with roasted or grilled meats and accompanying fall/winter fare. Drink now through 2027 or so. — 7 months ago

Earthy aromas with savoury red fruits. A good balance between acid and tannin. Oak is absorbed as you would hope at 14 years of age. Doesn’t scream Hunter Valley because of the ripeness of the fruit but that earth and spice leads you there. In hindsight I opened this too early contrary to my previous tasting note 5 years ago. This still has a solid core of potential which will enable the wine to last another 10 years where it will develop leathery notes. — 8 days ago
