Cantine Barbera

Sara Vezza

Superiore Villaro Barbera d'Alba 2018

N: Big purple fruit, loamy, moist earth, charcoal, deep as if something is lurking there.
P: like a plush, bright, ball of northern Italy, fills your mouth. No tannins to speak of, a wee bit of grip on the finish. Very earth bound.w a ragú, terrific.
Terrific qpr.
Thanks @fasselections.

Nizza Barbera d'Asti Superiore 2019

A little Nebbiolo-like, some tar with the acids. Savory and jammy, stewed cherries, touch of graphite, touch alcohol-forward. Great with Spiritus pizza. From Main Street Wine and Gourmet, Orleans. 06/25/22 — a day ago

Bricco dell'Uccellone Barbera d'Asti 2018

Rich and complex, highly concentrated, dense berries, mint, vanilla and licorice. Liberal use of wood added smoothness and a more western feel. This is outstanding. — 7 days ago

Barbera del Monferrato

Acidic. Tannic. Good wine, and one of the better btg wines I’ve had this year. — 7 days ago

6/2022. Nice. Has a nice boldness and flavor. Better than expected for a 2020 vintage. Enjoyed. — 18 days ago

Umberta Barbera del Monferrato 2020

Ripe purple plum and tannins. Lighter than you’d expect but it isn’t light. So lovely. — 9 days ago
