Vintage 2005 | Pesach Leognan is known to ripen well, and to be honest: this wine was better each time I tasted it. Dark colour, 3/4 transparant. Beautiful expressive smell, multi layered with laurel, cedar, minerals, pipe tobacco, Forrest fruits. Delicate taste with great balance, very vivid. Glorious. Paired with a deer steak. — a month ago
Molasses, brown sugar, nutmeg. Spicy oak finish. Very good, but has a kick. 128.7 proof. — 4 days ago
Deep Ruby with aromas of red berry fruit, tea and sweet herb spices. On the palate ripe cherry and blueberry flavors, with some dried fruit notes, oak, pepper spices and vanilla tones. Fine tannins with balanced acidity carry this rich wine to a long finish. Will age well. — 25 days ago
Deep red-brown, complex and rich, lots of caramels — 14 days ago

2016 vintage. Certainly less aggressive than other interpretations of Gap Crown Vineyard from other wineries. Still, there is a combination of undeniable oomph and spice and harmony that other versions miss. Saxon Brown is never about that amplifier turned up to 11. The wines are all about subtleties. — 20 days ago
