Brittan Vineyards

Gestalt Block Pinot Noir

This wine has certainly been enhanced by a couple of years in the bottle. Dark garnet with a heavy nose for a Pinot (black plum, a little jammy). In the mouth a pleaser- on the nearer side for Pinot but still smooth with black fruit, some spice, some earth with good tannins and even acidity. Very nice! — a month ago

Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014

Not Brittan. A very limited bottling of Estate Pinot that was whole cluster fermented. Black fruit with lots of everything. Very Dujac like. Will live for 25 years. One of the very best OR Pinots ever. — 5 years ago

Mcminnville Syrah 2012

Floral Syrah with Maritime acidity and a well rounded palate of soft berry fruit and apparitions of olive and pepper. Elegant. — 5 years ago

Winderlea Legacy Pinot Noir 2012

2012 Legacy. Made solely from 45 year old own-rooted vines in Dundee by Robert Brittan, this needed an hour open to come around. When it did it had almost ethereal aromas of cherry pie and strawberry plus a hint of spearmint. Nothing like a Cali Pinot. — 6 years ago
