Shiraz 2005

Amazing! Drinks like a cold weather Shiraz (think Victoria, Aus). Really yummy, fruit forward and super-long finish with chocolate / tobacco characteristics. — 4 days ago

Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

A wonderful wine. It has aged well and should continue to do so. We enjoyed it. Highly recommended as a signature SA cab. — 4 months ago

The Wolftrap Rosé Blend 2019

Ok, but not a keeper for Kelly or me. A little spicy and almost has a buttery, Chardonnay feel to it. Got better w second glass. 2nd wine in the Langley Pool virtual wine tasting. — 2 months ago

Le Cap Maritime Pinot Noir 2018

MICHAEL COOPER DipWSET
9.4

Surprisingly complex for only a 2018 from the Southern Hemisphere. Hints of smoke and flint and toast. Purity of fruit. Excellent #hemelenaarde #southafricanwine #southafrica — 5 months ago

The Chocolate Block Cinsault Blend 2019

Very soft and ripe red fruit (amarena cherry, raspberry). Also thyme and rosemary,. Broth and a whiff of black pepper. The sweet and sour balance is nearly perfect. — a month ago

The Wolftrap Syrah Blend 2019

Jammy nose or raspberry and blackberry. On the palate, more jam, but there's a lot more here. Nutmeg, white pepper, tomato plant, tobacco, bacon, and leather. Quite a pleasing expression held together with that Viognier. Medium-bodied with some light tannin and a lingering pepper note on the finish with the pepper. For me, this is an ideal wine to pair with dinner sausages. I almost want to "forget" a box of this in the cellar for a couple of years to see where this goes. Amazing when you can do this with a cheapie wine. — 4 months ago
