This is yum. Beautiful deep copper color. Smells of the sea, saline, rubber, dried apricot, marzipan, pecan and gas station (in a good way of course). Theses a sweetness to it with the apricot, pecan and marzipan coming through and a chewiness with the oil and nice salinity pulling it together. This went well with shrimp paella and bolder spices. I’d like to see how it ages and develops. — 21 days ago
Wonderful Spanish wine for Easter 2020 with Abby, Dorie, mom and I. Beautiful earthly smell with lead pencil tastes. Well balanced and moderately dry. A definite rebuy. — 7 months ago

Honorío Rubio is a Riojano white and rosé specialist. In a land best known for its incredibly age-worthy reds, among many die-hards out there it is undoubtedly the traditional whites which represent Rioja's finest and most original wines. We would add as well the barrel aged rosés, which are incredibly rare (Lopez de Heredia's has not been available for over 5 years, and we hear that they will finally have a little bit of the next release, 2008, in 2018!) Honorío makes an absolutely killer rosé, from some of his oldest Viura and Garnacha, briefly macerated and co-fermented, then aged 16 months in used barrels (which previously held his Lias Finas white wine). An inimitable, rich and bright, incredibly food friendly style of rosé. — 10 months ago

No vintage date on the bottle though I bought the 2014 from Vinissumus. Fantastic balance, lots of finesse and detail. €14 is an absolute steal — 7 months ago
