Such a masterful wine at almost 11 years of age. Nose is luscious and deep. Mint and red fruits and dramatic exotic spices. Terrific minerality. Limestone galore. Layered and perfumed. Knockout. Some charcoal as well. Palate is so juicy and energetic giving luscious red cherries that burst with intensity on the explosive finish. Then it cuts a swath of mineral and slowly dissipates. If Sour Patch Kids grew up and gave birth to a grapefruit, it would be this wine. Subtly sparkling with aromas of strawberry and flavors of grapefruit and red fruit candies with an almost sour acidity.

What a killer nose. Beautiful barnyard, slightly funky. On the palate this was closed off at first, but after an hour or so of air time opened up beautifully. Tart cherries, eucalyptus. Amazing — a year ago
