Amarone is, admittedly, a bit of an acquired taste. This is a particularly smooth representation of the style. Bright cherry and blueberry flavors are present up front, leading into a nicely-balanced, but slightly tart, extended finish. This is currently a steal, available at select TJ’s for around $15. — 20 days ago

Quintarelli is a legendary producer and it was very interesting to try this since I rarely would opt for a €300 Amarone. It has very unique aromatics. Medium bodied but with very intense and luscious profile on the palate. Dark fruits, tomato leaf, herbs, balsamic. Dry finish. 16,5% alcohol that is impressively integrated. — 17 days ago
