Geez. Where do I start? This wine isn’t for everyone. But for my palate it’s one of the best red wines I’ve ever tried. This vibrantly red carmenere is complex, and surpasses any expectations you may have had. Strong ocean scent. Salty, briny, fresh. — 4 years ago
I love when a wine schools me. Opened my first bottle a few years back and thought, big on price and low on return.
It is clear after tasting the wine today, I was clueless and my initial assessment was way off. I clearly did not “get “ what this wine is all about. On the nose Chablis’esque with some reduction that eventually blew off. In my mouth, so much going on. Wonderful concentration and balance with a constant rotation of saline , stone fruit, apple and creaminess. All of this swaddled in vibrant acidity. — 13 days ago
We meet again, Señor Palacios... Still makes me say, "Oh fuck!" When I first open it. Took about 6-8 hours in a decanter to start opening up. Drinking it throughout the night, I'd say the sweet spot is 18 hours. Happy that @Jessica Shelvik got to have it for the first time. — 5 years ago
This was questionable at first taste, but after being in the glass it opened beautifully. Definitely decant. — 15 days ago

Young wine with red stone fruits. Alcohol is nicely balanced. This wine will age well. This is a great food wine and will be perfect with grilled cod and tapenade style sauce. — 5 years ago

Quite polished and a bit too much oak though. Balanced and fine tannins and if I remember the price is quite good for this entry bottle. ? Sub$30 I believe? — a month ago
