Piemonte Albarossa 2011

Interesting stuff - there is very little Albarossa produced, a recently created varietal.
Says nothing of Piemonte, as it is much bigger than the Nebbiolo wines of the region. Big modern, but tasty nevertheless.

Albarossa Salice Salentino Primitivo 2018

Medium ruby. Rich soft dense aromas of jammy raisins and plums with a nutty edge. Taste is also soft and dense. Intense black fruit from start to finish. Almost port-like. With metallic leather hints. Low acid but great soft tannins. Very long. Excellent and very good value — a month ago
