Light ruby with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, violet, blueberry, and earthiness. On the bud, sour cherry and baking spices. Nice long finish. — 5 months ago

This wine is a great casual drink especially after some much needed aeration. But also as a Private Chef this wine was a perfect addition to the sauce of the Short Ribs I made for a client last weekend. It gave incredible balance to the tomato paste and melded wonderfully with the thyme and rosemary which wasn’t a surprise due to the vanilla. What made it so great is that fact that it didn’t lose it Cab presence in a sauce that typically can drown out most medium bodied Cabs. Definitely a new fav! — 4 months ago

Funny because completely took me by surprise given my experience with Lauer- usually chiseled minerality rules the day. This works on both channels- a rich, even plump Kabinett style with RS to spare, but a finish so long & flush with slate all we could do is savor it for as long as possible. Gorgeous yellow fruits too, quite accessible, in all their Granny Smith & marigold glory. What a wine. Imagine how age will only deepen & burnish its elegance. — a month ago
