2022. Had side-by-side with the similarly delicious Weiser-Künstler “Enkircher Steffensberg im Löwenbaum" Riesling Spatlese 2022. The Lauer has a tiny bit more complex flavor and a little more mouthwatering acidity. I would gladly enjoy either wine again over the next few decades! — 3 months ago

Amazing consistency, oxidative notes with apricots and apple cider. On the palate, green apples , sherry notes and citrus zest. What separated the bottles were the various levels of freshness. All were enjoyable but none had that “wow” factor. My rating is a composite. — 4 months ago

Opened this one 24hrs ago, yet it still comes across as primary and youthful. Big wine, full bodied, baked fruit cobbler, vanilla, baking spices, ink, licorice, black pepper. Beautiful and balanced, also due to a judicious dosage of fine acidity. Long, uplifting finish with wonderful tannines - dusty and ripe.
