Very fruity. Tons of tropical and but of lemon grass. Amazing flavor but not super complex. This would be enjoyed by many — 5 years ago
One of the best again. — 9 years ago
At peak after about 2 hrs of air. By hour 7, it's turning more bitter, with more prominent tannins and acidity. — 10 years ago
2007 Dolcetto d'Alba consumed in 2022. Balance and excellent. Sung well with charcoal grilled lamb entrecôte in the garden. Must say it was excellent. Far exceeded my expectations, but storage has been in optimal conditions. — 2 years ago

Fourth red wine at Table #3 at Oakton Wine Shops Bucket List Tasting.
Medium mix of garnet and ruby red. Dark cherries on the nose, almost black with purple floral notes. Heavy tannins (7/10) and medium plus bodied. Fresh palate with notes of cherries, spices and stones. Long finish. Drink till 2030. — 7 years ago
Lighter color and body but surprisingly large tannins and flavors. Aromas of ripe plums, dark cherries and leather. Ripe cherry and Dr. Pepper flavors with some tobacco notes. Powerful with bracing acidity. Long finish with lots of tannin. Solid! Nicely aged. — 3 years ago
Sette Ponti or "seven bridges," refers to the 7 bridges crossing the Arno River on the road from Arezzo to Florence. Blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cab Sauv & 10% Petit Verdot, aged 18 months in new French oak. Went to a tasting, had ‘14 & ‘15 side by side. Very dark enticing red with concentrated aromas of dark fruits & earthy notes. Flavors of cherry & plum with tobacco and spice. Firm but approachable tannins, medium length ending with a bit of spice as the finish builds. Best to drink ‘14 now. Tasting Sample. — 6 years ago
From the producer "Dominico Negro" who has never been imported into the US. These wines were imported by "The Piedmont Guy" out of Chicago. Named "Sette Anni" due to being a 2007 Roero Arneis that has been bottle aged 7 years before release. Bright gold in color. On the nose it displays loads of tropical fruits like guava, mango, pineapple and honey. Medium to full bodied with an oily texture...which is countered by pretty bright acidity. Flavors are a bit more austere than aromatics. Honey and mild pineapple with lemon peel on the finish. A very cool wine indeed. — 10 years ago

Don’t know what’s in the blend but this vino, even 2021 vintage, is Super Tuscan to me…very flavorful balanced, good nose, not too much tannic, just right…deep berry, more like a Napa red or Paso Robles red. Drink again! — 6 months ago
